Meditation: The Great Escape

If you’re like most people, you probably feel like you spend your days running on a never-ending hamster wheel. Work, errands, more work – it’s a wonder we don’t all go completely bonkers. That’s why it’s so important to take a moment to breathe, slow down, and meditate. And the best part? You can do it almost anywhere.

So, where can you find a little inner peace? Here are some of the more unusual (but totally doable) places to meditate:

  1. On the Bus/Train – If you’re commuting to work, why not use that time to meditate instead of getting irritated by the traffic? Just close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
  2. In the Shower – The sound of the water can be very relaxing, and the warm water will soothe your muscles. Plus, you’re already there, so why not make the most of it?
  3. At Your Desk – No, seriously. Just close your eyes, breathe deeply, and try to focus on the present moment. You’ll be amazed at how refreshed you feel afterwards.
  4. In the Park – Find a quiet corner, sit down, and soak up the sights and sounds of nature. It’s a great way to connect with the world around you and find a little inner peace.
  5. In Your Car – You don’t have to drive to meditate. Just park in a quiet spot, roll down the windows, and breathe deeply. You’ll be amazed at how refreshed you feel after just a few minutes.

So, the next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a break and try meditating in one of these unusual (but totally doable) places. Your mind (and your boss) will thank you!
